DESCRIPTION: SuperOxy is a selective pre- and post-emergence herbicide containing Oxyfluorfen 23.5% EC, designed to effectively control a wide range of annual broadleaf and grassy weeds in various crops. It provides long-lasting weed suppression and ensures healthy crop establishment. SuperOxy is widely used in onion, garlic, and other field crops to maintain a weed-free environment for better growth and yield.
MODE OF ACTION: Oxyfluorfen is a contact herbicide that inhibits the protoporphyrinogen oxidase enzyme (PPO), disrupting the synthesis of chlorophyll and other pigments in target weeds. This leads to membrane destruction and cell leakage, causing rapid death of the weeds. It provides residual soil activity that prevents the emergence of new weeds, ensuring extended control.
