DESCRIPTION: Thiamethoxam 12.6% + Lambda-cyhalothrin 9.5% ZC is a combination insecticide having quick stomach and contact activity and is recommended to control aphids, jassids, thrips, and bollworms in cotton; aphid, shoot fly, and stem borer in maize; leaf hopper and leaf-eating caterpillars in groundnut; stem fly, semilooper, and girdle beetle in soybean; thrips and fruit borer in chilli; thrips, semilooper, and tea mosquito bug in tea; and thrips, whiteflies, and fruit borer in tomato crop.
MODE OF ACTION : Stomach and contact insecticide. SILVIGO has an irreversible blockage of postsynaptic nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, which leads to hyperexcitation of the nerves. Hyperexcitation followed by convulsions and eventual paralysis of the insects results in death of the insects.
