DESCRIPTION: SILMET is a broad-spectrum, selective herbicide specially formulated for wheat crops. It effectively controls both grassy and broadleaf weeds that compete with wheat plants for nutrients and moisture. The combination of Metribuzin and Clodinofop Propagyl provides both contact and systemic action, ensuring complete and lasting weed control.
MODE OF ACTION: Metribuzin acts by inhibiting photosynthesis at Photosystem II, while Clodinofop Propagyl inhibits the ACCase enzyme responsible for lipid synthesis in grassy weeds. This dual mechanism results in rapid weed burn-down and prevents regrowth, promoting healthy crop establishment.
